# Kutch Indigo Ajrakh Tie-Up Wrap Skirt

A wrap skirt printed by hand in Ajrakhpur, Kutch, where Ajrakh has been practised for centuries. Bands of deep indigo alternate with rows of madder-red and black half-moon arches, set among small resist-dyed floral butis. Every repeat is pressed by hand with carved wooden blocks and goes through many rounds of resist printing, dyeing, washing and sun-drying, so small shifts in alignment and tone are part of the craft, not flaws.

The wrap silhouette has long fabric ties that loop around the waist, so you can adjust the fit from day to day. It’s soft, breathable cotton that works from a workday with a white shirt to a weekend with a fitted tee and kolhapuris.

**Wash Care**

-   Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild liquid detergent
-   The first 2–3 washes may release some excess dye. This is natural for Ajrakh.
-   Do not soak, scrub or wring. Gently press out the water.
-   Dry in shade, inside out, to protect the colours
-   Do not bleach or tumble dry
-   Iron on medium heat, inside out
-   Dry clean recommended for the first wash, if preferred
