# The Blueprint Dress: Handwoven Cotton Striped Office Dress

Some prints are designed. These stripes are woven. Each band of ivory, sky and deep blue is set into the loom thread by thread, which gives the fabric its soft, slightly uneven texture that printed cotton can’t copy.

We cut and pieced the cloth so the stripes turn corners. Mitred panels meet at the yoke and fold into the hem, changing direction across the body like a quiet line of geometry. The cut is a clean sleeveless column with a round neck, easy to wear from a Monday review to a Friday lunch.

Wear it alone in summer, or layer it with a crisp white shirt, a linen jacket or a handloom stole once the weather cools. It is breathable and relaxed, and it looks put-together for workdays.

-   Note: small slubs, thread variations and slight shade differences come from the handloom process. They are part of the fabric, not defects.
-   Size - M,36-37 chest and 32 waist with margin.
-   Size- L,38-39 chest and  34 waist with margin.

**Wash care**

-   Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, under 30°C
-   Wash separately for the first 2–3 washes, since yarn-dyed blues may release a little colour
-   Use a mild detergent and no bleach
-   Do not wring. Gently squeeze out the water
-   Dry in the shade, inside out, to protect the colours
-   Iron on medium heat, inside out, while slightly damp
-   Dry clean is optional for the first wash to keep the shape crisp
