Jamdani (West Bengal)

Jamdani is a fine muslin textile of Bengali origin, traditionally woven in Bangladesh and West Bengal, India. In 2013, UNESCO recognized the traditional art of Jamdani weaving as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The beauty of Jamdani lies in its sheer, breathable base fabric and the intricate motifs that appear to "float" on its surface.
