The ground is ivory Chanderi cotton, feather-light and gently sheer, printed by hand with a rhythmic little-bird motif in deep madder red each impression laid down block by block, drawn from Bagru's centuries-old dabu and natural-dye tradition. Fine black striations run vertically through the cloth, the mark of the hand-carved block and the reason no two lengths are ever quite alike.
A rich black anchors one end, banded with a thin zari line and finished in hand-knotted tassels. The colour bleed you may see at the join is the honest signature of natural dye, not a flaw.
Light enough to fold into nothing, dressy enough to lift a plain kurta or saree. Drapes soft, ages beautifully.
