Woven on a pit loom in the weaving village of Bhujodi in Kutch, this dupatta carries the quiet confidence of a craft passed down through generations of the Vankar community.

The body is a deep indigo handspun cotton, soft with the gentle irregularity that only handloom can give. Scattered across it are small ivory extra-weft motifs — each one lifted by hand at the loom, thread by thread, as the weave progresses. The border gathers into a run of fine ivory stripes and traditional Kutchi banding, closing in hand-knotted tassels in indigo and cream.

No two are identical. Slubs, minor variations in motif spacing, and the natural depth of the dye are the signature of a piece made entirely by hand.

Pairs beautifully with an ivory or ochre kurta set, or worn simply over a plain white cotton suit.

  • Handwoven pure cotton
  • Extra-weft motif work throughout
  • Hand-knotted tassel finish
  • Approx. 2m x 0.63m
  • Made in Bhujodi, Kutch, Gujarat

Rooted in Earth. Woven by Hand.
