Woven on the banks of the Narmada, in a town that has been making silk since the reign of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. Maheshwari sarees are known by one defining feature: the reversible border — identical on both sides — a hallmark of this craft and no other.
This saree is woven in rich wine, with fine-line checks across the body that catch the light in gentle texture. The border is lustrous golden zari with classic geometric Maheshwari motifs, and a contrast pink edging gives it a refined, contemporary lift. The pallu holds the most elaborate patterning — dense, structured, and beautiful.
Each saree is woven individually on a handloom. Slight variations in weave density, zari placement, and colour tone are part of the craft.

Zari care · Avoid contact with perfume and deodorant — alcohol damages zari over time.
