Woven on the banks of the Narmada. Garbh Resham — "silk within silk" — is an open-weave construction where the warp threads are spaced to create an airy, almost net-like structure. The result is a saree that is lighter than it looks and cooler than any season requires.
This piece is woven in black with a woven gold zari border in classic geometric Maheshwari motifs. Knotted fringe tassels finish the edge. The open weave drapes with natural fluidity — structured without stiffness, luminous without weight.
Each saree is woven individually on a handloom. Minor variations in weave density and zari placement are inherent to the craft.
