Handblock Ajrakh Tussar Kurta Fabric & Dupatta, Sand Gold with Teal

Printed by hand in Ajrakhpur, Kutch, this unstitched set brings the centuries-old Ajrakh tradition to the soft, textured sheen of tussar. The kurta fabric has a warm sand-gold base with delicate paisley and floral butis in muted teal. It is framed by a bold border of geometric chevrons and dotted stripes in charcoal and sea-green.

The matching dupatta carries an allover pattern of teal rosettes. It is edged with layered stripes, an echoing geometric panel, and a deep charcoal border, and finished with hand-knotted teal tassels.

Each piece goes through many rounds of printing, dyeing, and washing by artisan families who have practised this craft for generations. Small variations in print, colour, and the natural slubs of tussar are marks of the handmade process, not flaws. Stitch it into a straight kurta, an A-line, or an anarkali for festive days, pujas, or elevated everyday wear.

Wash Care:

• Dry clean recommended, especially for the first wash
• If hand washing, use cold water with a mild liquid detergent, and wash separately because hand block prints may release some colour

• Iron on low to medium heat, on the reverse side
• Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, and spraying perfume directly on the fabric
• Store folded in a cotton or muslin cloth
