Description
An unbleached ivory Jamdani set where the loom does all the talking. The kurta panel carries a hand-woven bird and floral vignette — two songbirds perched among paddy stalks and slender red blooms, worked in mustard, rose, sage and dusk-grey extra weft. The ground is scattered with the faintest confetti of coloured specks, the weaver's own punctuation.
The dupatta is set on a fine gold checked grid, sprinkled with four-petal pinwheel butis in indigo, brick and blush. A striped border in red, indigo and grey runs the length of the palla, finishing in dense navy and ivory pom-pom tassels.
Woven on pit looms in West Bengal, each motif inserted by hand, thread by thread, without the aid of a jacquard. No two pieces are identical.
Note
Slight irregularities in the motif, weave density or selvedge are inherent to handloom Jamdani and are marks of the hand, not flaws.

Wash Care
- First wash: dry clean recommended
- Thereafter: gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild liquid detergent
- Do not soak, wring or brush
- Wash separately — natural dyes may release a little colour initially
- Dry flat in shade; direct sun will dull the ivory
- Iron on medium heat from the reverse, avoiding the woven motifs
- Handle the pom-poms gently; do not pull loose threads, snip them close to the fabric instead
