A deep mulberry-purple cotton Jamdani suit set, woven with birds at rest and in flight. The kurta panel carries a pair of songbirds in rose, mustard and teal perched among slender silver stems, with golden leafy sprigs rising above them. The dupatta scatters small rose-and-blue birds across the field, framed by fine blush stripes and finished with hand-knotted black tassels. Tiny confetti buti in gold, blue and rose are worked across both pieces.
Jamdani is among India's most intricate weaving traditions, recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Each motif is woven directly into the fabric as it is made — never printed, never embroidered. The result is a textile where no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
