Tota Bagh Kalamkari Print Silk Dupatta - Black & Ivory with Zari Border

An old garden, drawn in ink. Parrots perch among blooming lotuses, trailing vines heavy with pomegranates, and sweeping acanthus leaves, all rendered in soft ivory against a deep black ground. The motifs come from Kalamkari, the centuries-old textile art of Andhra Pradesh, where every bird and flower carries the storytelling spirit of temple cloths and courtly hangings.

The fabric has a gentle sheen that catches light as it moves. It is finished with a slim golden zari border along both edges, a plain ivory pallu end, and hand-knotted tassels. It's striking over a solid ivory, black, or mustard kurta, and quietly elegant with a simple saree blouse or even a crisp shirt and trousers.

Wash Care

• Dry clean recommended for the first wash.
• After that, hand wash gently in cold water with a mild, silk-safe detergent.
• Wash separately, as dark colours may bleed.
• Don't wring or twist; press out water gently with a towel.
• Dry flat or on a hanger in the shade, away from direct sunlight to protect the black dye and zari.
• Iron on low heat on the reverse side, avoiding direct heat on the zari border.
• Store folded in a cotton or muslin bag. Refold occasionally to avoid permanent creases on the zari.
